Martial Arts Curriculum
Having a solid martial arts curriculum is key to great classes. Whether you own a bjj, karate, kickboxing, or other martial arts school, a martial arts curriculum is vital to your martial arts business.
Every school is different, but for my particular school we train grappling and striking for ages 3+.
We do not have a rotating curriculum (where you practice the same techniques in a structured way at set times throughout the year) rather, I always like to repeat their techniques as much as possible for better retention.
Our Martial Arts Curriculum follows this structure:
Contact & Game
Sometimes things fluctuate (I may do away with the game if the Contact portion runs long, etc.) but generally this five part structure is what I employ for my martial arts curriculum.
Below are a series of videos that gives an inside look of how I run my classes for each particular part of class.
Hopefully you can take away a few pointers and employ them for your martial arts classes and business!
If ever you’d like any tips, tricks, or more info on how I run my martial arts curriculum / business, feel free to reach out!
